Marguerite Pease Sunderland |
Marguerite Pease Sunderland of Greenville, graduated from Delta State University during the 81st Commencement ceremony held Saturday, Dec. 8, inside Walter Sillers Coliseum on the Delta State campus. Sunderland was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in management.
Sunderland entered Delta State Teachers College in the fall of 1950, leaving after her first year. She has finally finished her college education, 57 years later. Commenting on her completion of a college degree, Sunderland said, “It feels great. I did not know I was so close, I’d been taking a class now and then.”
