Scope and Content:
The Jewish Collection was an Advanced Research Writing Class (ELR 702) DSU Project that focused on World War II the Jewish people of the Mississippi Delta. Six students interviewed twelve Jewish people and their experiences growing up in the Mississippi Delta. This collection contains the class papers prepared by each student and a booklet “The Early History of the Hebrew Congregation,” as well as photos of the Hebrew Union Temple.
This Advanced Research Writing Class Project was in August 2001. It is still a class offered to graduate and doctorate students. See attached syllabus.
