Direct Technical Assistance Program

The Building Rural Innovation and Development for Growing Entrepreneurs (BRIDGE) will provide virtual training and technical assistance to new and existing business owners through the Direct Technical Assistance Program. The BRIDGE will integrate online and video conferencing delivery methods, including in-person sessions to deliver one-on-one business coaching for its clients during this crisis.

The BRIDGE will concentrate on business launching, job creation, job retention, removing barriers for access to capital, and completing federal procurement and bidding registration.

Incubator

Select entrepreneurs will develop their products and services via location sites within Sunflower County, MS through the funding provided by the BRIDGE project.

Community & Family Financial Literacy Academy

Special financial literacy program for participant’s families, focusing primarily on youth and children.  Families will be offered specialized training to provide family support, including utilization of the DSU COBA Financial Investing and Research Lab.

Sunflower County Small Business Marketplace (SCSBM)

Sunflower County businesses will use a central host to manage an Amazon-type Seller Marketplace to reach national and global customers as targets to grow their businesses.
