Students host benefit for children’s hospital

Each year, Phi Mu hosts a bunko tournament, raising funds for the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Delta State’s Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity is dedicating their time to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH), a global non-profit organization that raises funding for hospitals, research, and awareness of children’s health issues.

The group will host the 8th Annual Bunko Benefit on Sept. 28 in the Jacob Conference Center in Ewing Hall on campus. The event is open to all women, and there is a $30 entry fee that will be contributed to CMNW. Registration begins at 10 a.m. followed by brunch. Games will begin at 11:15 a.m., and both first time and seasoned players are encouraged to play.

Executive Officer of Philanthropy Whitney Crum said, “Our members always get excited for Bunko because it is such a fun way to raise money for our philanthropy, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. It is also a fun time to see others get excited about all the prizes they can win.”

A silent auction will also take place during the event. All proceeds will benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

The Kappa Epsilon Chapter of Phi Mu Fraternity was founded on Delta State’s campus in 1966. Members maintain strong grade point averages, hold leadership positions in numerous campus organizations, and participate in diverse events.
