Green Machine Concerts CEO scheduled for DMI All Access

The Delta Music Institute will host Jim Green, founder and owner of Green Machine Concerts, as the final guest of the semester for the DMI All Access series on April 28 at 6 p.m. in DMI Studio B.

The Delta Music Institute entertainment industry studies program at Delta State University will host Jim Green, founder and owner of Green Machine Concerts, as the final guest of the semester for the DMI All Access series. The event is scheduled for April 28 at 6 p.m. in DMI Studio B in the Whitfield Building on the campus of Delta State.

DMI All Access is a series of open forums and lectures throughout the academic year featuring industry professionals from various areas of the music and entertainment industry.

Green Machine Concerts is a full-service concert promotion company with over 30 years experience in the entertainment industry, promoting and producing concerts and events in various cities throughout the country and in a variety of different venues, including clubs, fairs and festivals, colleges, corporate events and arenas.

The goal of Green Machine Concerts is to continue bringing the finest in live entertainment to music lovers throughout the United States.

Jim Green has worked for 25 years as a concert promoter on multiple levels, including producer of the 2008 Presidential Debate Concert (Ole Miss), Stax 50th Anniversary Concert, Beale Street Music Festival, Memphis Botanic Garden Concert Series and Mud Island Amphitheater.

He was named to “40 Under 40” by the Memphis Business Journal and has served on the Board of Governors for the Memphis Chapter of The Recording Academy. Green served as producer of the 2010 Jagermeister tour featuring Eric Church, the 2009 ZZ TOP American Tour, and promoter for the Snowden Grove Amphitheater in Southaven, Miss., which has featured acts including Dave Matthews Band, Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan and Lady Antebellum.

He also produces shows for the WalMart amphitheater in Rogers, Ark. whose featured acts have included Hozier, Chicago, Brantley Gilbert, Steve Miller Band, Tim McGraw and Blake Shelton.

The DMI All Access event is open to the public at no charge.

The Delta Music Institute is an independent center of study under the College of Arts and Sciences at Delta State University, offering a bachelor’s degree in Entertainment Industry Studies.
