Delta State Continuing Education needs your assistance for an event on Sept. 13.
Delta State Continuing Education will host our third Chick fil A Leader Academy Kickoff. This event will bring over 400 high school students from Mississippi to campus for a leadership assembly and service project. Feeding Children Everywhere will be on campus to assist the students in packing their goal of 100,000 meals for children in need. These non-perishable meals will be shipped to food banks across our region.
– Table Leaders are needed for the service project from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Table Leaders will guide the students in proper packaging through the assembly line. Meals will be packed from 11:10 a.m. to 1:15 p.m., but training for your table requires you to arrive earlier. This event will be held in Court 2 and 3 of Wyatt Gym, on the DSU campus. 15 spots open.
– Campus Guides are needed from 10:50 a.m. to 11:20 a.m. Campus Guides will walk a large group of students (150+) from the assembly in the Bologna Performing Arts Center to Wyatt Gym for their lunch and service project. You will have a campus map marking your route to follow. 4 spots open.
