American Music recital to be presented at Delta State

The Theta Upsilon chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity at Delta State will present its annual American Music recital Tuesday, March 24, at 7:30 p.m. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center on campus.

 
The event will feature music by American composers, artists, and arrangers in a variety of genres and mediums including pop styling’s of John Mayer to standard barbershop quartet numbers, as well as original works by various members of the fraternity.
 
Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity is a social men’s organization dedicated to the love and passion of music. It was founded in Boston, Mass. in 1898 at the New England Conservatory of Music and came to the campus of Delta State University in May of 1960.
 
Phi Mu Alpha actively promotes “the advancement of music in America” and brotherhood among musical students.

The recital is free and open to the public.
