The Delta Music Institute, a music industry studies program at Delta State University, will host Memphis Drum Shop eCommerce Manager Greg Cobb on Tuesday, March 26, at 6 p.m. in Studio B of the Delta Music Institute on the campus of Delta State University for an interactive discussion as part of the DMI All Access series. DMI All Access is a series of open forums and lectures throughout the academic year featuring industry professionals from various areas of the music business.

Cobb graduated from Delta State University in December of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in Sound Recording Technology. While at Delta State, he played an integral role in the founding of the Delta State GRAMMY U chapter and served as its first president. Cobb was also one of the first drummers in the Ol’ Skool Revue band and the first recipient of the DMI Morris Scholar award. He is an alumni member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity, a member of Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society, and is also an Eagle Scout.
Cobb is currently employed at the Memphis Drum Shop in Memphis, TN where he serves as the eCommerce Manager.  He manages three independent websites (memphisdrumshop.com, mycymbal.com, memphisgongchamber.com) as well as Memphis Drum Shop’s eBay store, and all of the brand’s related social media outlets (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest).
During the All Access session at the DMI, Cobb will offer his unique insights on how to run a successful eCommerce business in an overcrowded marketplace, the importance of branding, and utilizing social media to connect with your customer base.

The Delta Music Institute is an independent center of study under the College of Arts & Sciences at Delta State University, offering a B.S. in Music Industry Studies degree. The focus of the DMI is to provide students with a broad and thorough education in the technological, creative, and business areas of the music and entertainment industry.
