The Delta Center for Culture and Learning at Delta State University, presented a day-long heritage tour for Teach For America (TFA) participants on Saturday, June 18.
The group traveled across the Delta by bus, learning about the Delta’s rich cultural heritage. Topics discussed included the Blues, Civil Rights activism, historic Mound Bayou, Highway 61 and the great migration, and Po’ Monkey’s Lounge.
