The Delta State University Department of Music will present the Woodwind Chamber Ensembles recital at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April, 20. in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.
Groups performing include the Flute Ensemble, Flute Trio, and Saxophone Quartet.
The Delta State Flute Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Shelley Collins, will perform works by Telemann and Cimarosa. The students will also perform a patriotic medley, “American Flute Salute.”
Students in the Delta State Flute Ensemble include Jessica Egdorf of Hernando, Amanda Corkran of Olive Branch, Russell Cardwell of Memphis, Lauren Fiveash of Southaven, Lindsay Richardson of Cleveland, Robyn Rouse of Gulfport, and Linda Smith of Cleveland.
The Delta State Saxophone Quartet, under the direction of Dr. Bret Pimentel, will perform works by Rimsky-Korsakov, Jeanjean, and Gershwin.
Members of the Delta State Saxophone Quartet are Steven Hugley of Vicksburg, Rondell Evans of Vicksburg, Will Bryer of Southaven, and Austin White of Vicksburg.
