By April 26, 2011General

Delta State University’s College of Business and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Memphis Branch, will host a Small Business Resource Forum from 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m., on Wednesday, May 4, in the Baioni Conference Center of Broom Hall on the campus.

This forum will provide Mississippi’s small business owners the opportunity to access knowledge and resources to help their businesses succeed in this challenging business environment.

According to the U.S. Small Business Administration, small businesses represent 99.7 percent of all the employers in the country and employ half of all private sector employees. Over the last decade small businesses have accounted for 60 to 80% of all new jobs created on an annual basis.

Presentations will include Marketing Your Business, Recruiting and Attracting Ideal Employees and Raising Capital – How to make “the ask.”  Attendees will have the opportunity to network and meet representatives from the Mississippi Small Business Administration, Mississippi Development Authority and local financial institutions.

Entrepreneurs, lenders, and those involved in economic development are encouraged to attend. This is a free event and lunch will be provided.
