Low Brass Ensembles to present concert at Delta State

Delta State University’s Department of Music will present a Low Brass Ensemble concert at 7:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 9, in the Recital Hall of Bologna Performing Arts Center.  

The Low Brass Ensemble, directed by Dr. Douglas Mark, assistant professor of music at Delta State, is a harmonious collection of trombone, euphonium and tuba performers.  

In addition to the full Low Brass Choir, the concert will feature the Delta State Trombone Choir and the Delta State Tuba-Euphonium Choir.

The performance will include music from a wide variety of time periods and styles. Selected works include Franz Biebl’s “Ave Maria,” Frescobaldi’s “Toccata,” “Mystic Chant and Dance of the Fire Moon” by Thomas Zugger and many others.  There will be something for everyone!
            
The concert is free and open to the public.
