Delta State’s Continuing Education to offer a great line-up of classes for September

Delta State University Continuing Education will be offering an array of classes that will offer something for everyone during the month of September which includes After School Arts, Belly Dancing Basic and Advanced classes, English as a Second Language, and a GMAT Workshop.

After School Arts:
Students in 1st-6th grade will learn techniques used to create individual works of art. Jondelyn Catlette will be the instructor for the class scheduled to meet on Thursdays, Sept. 9 – 30, October 7, 14, 28, Nov. 4, and 12 from 3:30 – 4:30 p.m., in Room 111 of the Wright Art Building on campus.  The cost of the nine week course is $125 per person.   

Belly Dancing:
Participants will learn the basic moves of belly dancing and apply those moves to dancing while increasing core strength and endurance. No experience is needed! Recruit a friend or come make new friends! Teri Herron will be the instructor for the classes scheduled to meet on Mondays, Sept 13 – 27, October 4-18.  Beginner class will meet at 6 p.m. and advanced class will meet at 7 p.m., in the Kent Wyatt Atrium on campus.  Cost is $50 per person which includes all six sessions.

English as a Second Language:

If you are just starting to learn English or you are a moderate speaker, this class will vastly improve your language skills.  Paul Kossman will be the instructor for the class scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 9, in Room 225 of Ewing Hall on campus.  The class will continue through the fall semester and will cost $35.

GMAT Workshop:
Prospective MBA students will find that the training, assistance and preparation offered in this course will leave them ready to take the real test. Mary Ann Jabbour and Dr. Clifton Wingard will be the instructors for the class scheduled to meet on Mondays, Sept. 20, 27; Oct. 4 – 25 from 3 – 6 p.m., in Room 114 of Broom Hall on campus. Cost of the six week course is $85 per person which includes prep materials.
