Ladies from a travel club based in Portland, Ore., spent ten days in Mississippi and visited the Delta last Saturday.

The group was hosted by the Delta State University Delta Center for Culture and Learning, and visited heritage sites in Cleveland, Ruleville, Merigold and Mound Bayou before heading to the B. B. King Museum in Indianola.

Other stops during their trip included Jackson, Vicksburg and Natchez. In most cases, they had never been to the South before, other than last year’s trip to Charleston, S.C., and Savannah, Ga.
