Welcome to the College of Business

Welcome to the College of Business webpage! Since its inception in 1928, when the Department of Commerce was formed, Delta State University’s College of Business has provided a high-quality business education to our students. It is a privilege for me to work with a group of faculty and staff who are devoted to student learning and future success.

We are student focused! Our faculty members are committed to providing students with a relevant, current education. Our curriculum prepares students to not only lead organizations but also to be successful entrepreneurs. We are able to accomplish this through small class sizes, student access to faculty members who know them by name and are genuinely concerned with their well-being.

My colleagues and I are passionate about education and our opportunity to serve. We enjoy what we do and strive to continuously do it better. We want our students to find a profession and career they can feel as passionate about and one that is as rewarding. Our graduates report this aspiration is being fulfilled in their lives as they have become and are becoming successful business people as well as productive citizens.

We recognize our responsibility to provide our students with the skill sets to be successful wherever their destiny might lead them; and, we would love for our students to remain and use their talents and skills in the Delta. Nevertheless, our commitment to student placement has resulted in our graduates having careers all over the world.

I invite you to visit our campus and allow us to show you why Delta State’s College of Business is the place for you!

Billy C. Moore, Ph.D., CFP, CTP
