Pi Day Celebration @ Robinson-Carpenter Library, Cleveland

March 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Pi Day is celebrated on March 14 (3/14) around the world! The Greek letter Pi, represented by the symbol “π”, is used in mathematics to represent a constant ratio. This special ratio is the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter – which is approximately 3.14. Mathematicians, Engineers, and Astronomers use Pi A LOT in their calculations.

Join us for a special Pi Day celebration at the Bolivar County Robinson-Carpenter Memorial Library in Cleveland from 2PM-4PM. This event is especially for students in 1st-6th grades, but we hope adults will learn something too! We’ll learn about Pi by reading the book ‘Sir Cumference and the Dragon of Pi’, measuring round objects to calculate the value of Pi for ourselves, and make two circle-themed art projects.

This is a FREE event!
