CEU Teacher’s Workshop: Eclipse and Sun Science

In preparation for the April 8 solar eclipse, DSU continuing education, in partnership with the Wiley Planetarium, will host ‘Eclipse and Sun Science Teacher’s Workshop’ for K-8 teachers.

Date/Time:  Friday March 22, 9AM-3PM OR Saturday March 23, 9AM-3PM (indicate your preference when registering)

Cost: $25  – Includes 0.5 CEU Credits

The workshop will include instructions and hands-on activities, such as:

• Building solar eclipse models
• Exploration of magnetism and  mathematics related to the Sun and eclipses
• Ideas for STEM activities related to Sun and eclipses
• How to reproduce these experiences with your students

The first 10 teachers who register will  receive a free pack of 30 eclipse glasses for safe solar eclipse viewing with their students. All registered  teachers are eligible for discounted tickets  for their  class at a future Wiley Planetarium show.
