ENCORE: Artemis II Splashdown Showcase + CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story

April 13 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

$5

The historic Artemis II mission returned to Earth this Friday April 10 after a 10 day journey. Join us as we showcase images from space taken by the four Artemis II astronauts as they orbited the Moon. We’ll cover the entire mission, from launch to splashdown. Images will be viewed on the planetarium dome in 4K! After a bit of lunar exploration, we’ll screen CAPCOM GO! The Apollo Story for the last time until 2027. All attendees get a free NASA Artemis II poster to commemorate the event.

CAPCOM Go!: On July 20th 1969, 600 million people around the world gathered to witness a historic moment of human achievement. The world celebrated as astronauts took their first steps on the Moon. But few people were aware of just how huge an effort it had taken to get them there. These Apollo 11 astronauts were just 2 of nearly 400,000 people who had worked over ten years towards this goal. How did they do it, and what did it take to put humans on the Moon? Find out with us!
