Public Constitution Reading

September 17 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Every year, the Madison Center for Civic Engagement and History partners with the School of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences hosts a public open mic reading of the US Constitution in recognition of Constitution Week (September 17-23, annually). The public reading of the US Constitution is a direct recreation of how the Constitution was originally spread through the country and made publicly known. This year makes the 238th anniversary of its creation on September 17, 1787.

All are welcome to take part in this event that celebrates the world’s oldest active codified constitution.
