Prof. Chomsky is Institute Professor and Professor of Linguistics Emeritus at M.I.T. He is internationally known for his scholarship, his activism, and his commentary on political and social issues.  Among his many works are American Power and the New Mandarins, a critic of American foreign policy during the 1960s and, more recently, Manufactured Consent.
