Planned Giving Seminar

November 30, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

Delta State University Host “Planned Giving” Seminar November 30
David Gladden, Chief Financial Officer and Interim Vice President for Advancement, at Delta State University (DSU), announced the University will host a “planned giving” seminar. The seminar will explore ways to make planned gifts to the University through the Quadrangle Society. Scheduled for November 30 5:30 pm at the Hugh Ellis Walker Alumni House on the DSU campus, the seminar will provide information by community experts on developing planned charitable strategies. The seminar is free to the public.
The Quadrangle Oak Society was established to recognize alumni and friends of the University who have either funded or planned a deferred gift, such as a bequest or a life income plan. Many people believe the planned giving is only for the very rich. “It doesn’t have to be a large amount and our donations help students who might otherwise be unable to have a college education,” said Vicki Fioranelli, Quadrangle Oak Society member.” “Many of us may not be able to be large donors during our life time but why not designate a portion of our wealth after our death?”. She added, “I encourage others to join me.”
Delta State University is promoting the Quadrangle Oak Society as part of its Centennial Campaign. We are asking for those who are interested in supporting the society to become engaged by being advocates for the Quadrangle Oak Society, by providing contacts of those who can support the campaign or by contributing financially.
