Fresh for the Press Speaker Series: Amy King

Dr. Amy King, Tuskegee University, will be on campus to discuss her research into the intersections of gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity, class, ability, and nationality in U.S. and Caribbean depictions of violence between women in the wake of slavery that lead to her latest book Grotesque Touch: Women, Violence, and Contemporary Circum-Caribbean Narratives (University of North Carolina Press, 2021). The lecture will be Tuesday, October 4, 2022, in Jobe Hall at 7 p.m. This lecture is part of the Division of Languages & Literature’s Fresh from the Press Speaker Series.
