Delta State Tuba-Euphonium Day – Delta Tuba-Euph Fest 2023

| This day-long clinic will feature tubist Mr. Wade Rackley, Principal Tuba of the Mississippi Symphony Orchestra.
Mr. Rackley and Dr. Douglas Mark, Delta State Professor of Low Brass, will lead the participants through a series of interactive activities including group warm-ups, tuba-euphonium choir rehearsal, masterclasses, panel discussions, recitals and direction of a large “en-masse” tuba-euphonium choir performance of all participants. DSU Tuba-Euphonium Day will provide a unique learning experience to a number of different constituents. Participants will be engaged throughout the day with activities that will require listening, thinking and playing. In addition to serving Delta State students, this event will bring together students from regional high schools, community colleges and other four-year institutions, as well as low brass players of all ages. Join us for some world-class performances! There are concerts at 2:00 pm and 3:30 pm which are free and open to the public. However, clinic participants will be assessed a registration fee, which will be used to help defray costs. |
