Book Talk: Reconstruction in Mississippi, 1862-1877 with Jere Nash

Writer and political consultant Jere Nash will be on campus December 2, 2025, to promote his new book, Reconstruction in Mississippi, 1862-1877 (University Press of Mississippi, 2025). A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Nash has worked with and written about Mississippi politics for over 45 years. He has coauthored three books of Mississippi history, including America’s Great Storm coauthored with Gov. Haley Barbour about Hurricane Katrina and Mississippi Politics: The Struggle for Power, 1976-2006, with Andy Taggart—which won awards from the Mississippi Historical Society and the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters.
