Delta State University is pleased to announce the implementation of a flexible summer work schedule for full-time staff, effective May 19 through August 1, 2025. The initiative introduces a 4.5-day work week designed to enhance work-life balance, support employee well-being, and maintain the university’s high standard of service delivery.
Under the new summer schedule, university offices will operate as follows:
Summer Office Hours (May 19 – August 1, 2025):

Monday – Thursday: 7:30 AM – 5:30 PM (with a one-hour lunch break)

Friday: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM
This adjusted schedule maintains the standard 40-hour work week while offering employees a more flexible work-life structure.
Departments that provide essential services will ensure coverage throughout the entire business week (Monday–Friday) to maintain continuous operations. Supervisors will coordinate team schedules accordingly and communicate any changes through the appropriate Vice President.
