Bryce Griffis Reception
In 1999 Dr. Bryce Griffis, Delta State University alumnus (1954, honorary doctorate 2010) and former president of the IHL Board, established the “Bryce Griffis Presidential Endowment Fund,” in honor of Dr. Kent Wyatt. Dr. Griffis’ gift of $100,000 was established with the purpose of the fund “to provide monies to fulfill departmental and/or student needs.”
The “Bryce Griffis Presidential Endowment Fund” has given Dr. Griffis much satisfaction because of the enormous and widespread impact of the funds as represented in the numerous letters of appreciation he has received from former recipients.

Dr. Bryce Griffis, two-term President of Mississippi IHL Board, native of Grenada, resides in Starkville, is the owner of Sturgis Timber in Starkville, and is the recipient of the honorary doctorate DSU Spring 2010.
