Delta State’s Civil Rights Movement Class takes tour  

 

The Delta State University History of the Civil Rights Movement class outside the Delta Health Center in Mound Bayou. The class stopped at the St. Gabriel Mercy Center for a panel discussion about the civil rights movement in Mound Bayou, and visited the Tabourian Hospital, the historic Bank of Mound Bayou, and the home of I. T. Montgomery. The class is taught by Dr. Ben Sperry and Michelle Johansen, and was assisted by Luther Brown of the Delta State Delta Center for Culture and learning.
