Under the theme “Where Careers Take Root,” these events embrace the university’s beloved Fighting Okra mascot, symbolizing growth, resilience, and readiness for the future workforce.

Rooted in Success: Fighting Okra Professional Headshots

This pre-event offers students the opportunity to have professional headshots taken for free. These high-quality photos are ideal for enhancing LinkedIn profiles, resumes, and other online platforms, helping students put their best foot forward as they enter the professional world.
Fall 2024 Fighting Okra Talent Showcase: Where Careers Take Root

Time: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Location: Delta State University Campus
The fall career fair will connect students with employers from a variety of industries. This showcase provides an excellent platform for students to explore career options, network, and even secure internship, part-time, or full-time job opportunities. This is a must-attend event for students looking to launch their careers.
Students are encouraged to activate their Handshake profiles through the MyDSU portal, as many of the Division of Student Affairs’ offerings, including event registrations, will be facilitated by Handshake.
