The Delta State University Alumni Association traveled to Nashville, Tenn. on Monday [Nov. 5] to watch the Statesmen take on the Vanderbilt Commodores in basketball. Prior to the game, the Alumni Association held a social at the Holiday Inn Vanderbilt for all area alumni and friends of Delta State.
“We had a great turnout at the social,” said Assistant Director of Alumni Affairs Jordan Thomas. “The Alumni Association strives to keep alumni engaged in university events and involved in their area. The energy from the social carried over to the basketball game and everyone was there in support of their alma mater.”
After the social, the group walked over the Memorial Gymnasium for the game. Tickets were provided to alumni and friends by the Delta State University Men’s basketball program.
