Successes for DSU at Annual Meeting of Mississippi Chapter of The Wildlife Society

Faculty and students represented Delta State University well at the annual meeting of the Mississippi Chapter of The Wildlife Society in Vicksburg, Miss., on Sept. 19-20.

Dr. AHM Ali Reza, associate professor of biology, and fellow coauthors of a paper entitled “Combined Effects of Climate Change and Sea-Level Rise Project Dramatic Habitat Loss of the Globally Endangered Bengal Tiger in the Bangladesh Sundarbans” won the Outstanding Peer-Reviewed Publication award. The paper had appeared in the peer-reviewed Science of the Total Environment last spring.

Also, eight Delta State students from the chapter, all pursuing the wildlife management concentration within the environmental science degree program, participated at the conference.
