The College of Business and Aviation offers the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. The Bachelor’s program in Finance is designed to provide students with a thorough knowledge of the financial institutions of the modern economy, with special emphasis on application of techniques in financial decision making. The purpose of the program is to prepare students to become effective financial managers. The faculty are committed to maintaining a curriculum and educational environment that equips graduates for positions of leadership. Course offerings and degree requirements are continuously reviewed by the faculty; and additions are made as warranted, keeping in mind the best interest of students, as well as those who employ graduates.

The Finance Program strives to provide opportunities for students to learn business principles and techniques, economic and financial theories and policies, and to obtain a well-rounded general education and understanding of finance. After completing the required coursework, students will qualify to sit for the national Certified Treasury Professional exam, with CTP designation granted by the Association of Financial Professionals.

What Can I Do With a B.B.A. in Finance?

Finance students will graduate from DSU feeling skilled, confident, and equipped in dealing with real-world situations. The B.B.A. degree in Finance prepares students to work in banking, investments, insurance, corporations, and government. Students are prepared for jobs such as:

Business Scholarships

The College of Business and Aviation offers a variety of scholarships to students, many of which are based on merit, academic concentration, leadership, and other qualifying factors. There are over 20 Delta State scholarships for Finance majors and several other scholarship and award opportunities from private, state, and regional financial institutions and organizations. Students may also be eligible for non-program specific scholarship opportunities.
