The primary purpose of DAAIS is to provide services and professional development opportunities for personnel of member schools, as well as curricular and enrichment opportunities for their students.

Dec. 3-5, 2025 – MS Literacy Association: Making a Splash with Literacy – This Registration is only for the Lead Presenter. The Mississippi Literacy Association, in collaboration with the Mississippi Department of Education Office of Curriculum and Instruction, Division of Literacy, invites you to attend the 54th Annual Mississippi Literacy Association Conference: Making a Splash with Literacy. This year’s conference will be held December 3rd through December 5th, 2025, at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. The event will focus on strengthening literacy instruction for students in kindergarten through 8th grade.

Feb. 4 & 20, 2026 – MDE-Approved OSL Training: Strengthening Teams – The Mississippi Department of Education’s Orientation for School Leaders (OSL) training is a three-module, six-day statewide series facilitated by Mississippi’s Regional Education Service Agencies. The MDE-approved OSL series is designed to develop early career administrators as instructionally-focused, team-oriented, and improvement-driven school leaders.
