Indicators of Teaching Effectiveness

(CAEP Impact Measure 2 – Component 4.2)

Delta State University uses multiple measures to determine teacher effectiveness. Undergraduate students complete a Teacher Work Sample and Teacher Intern Assessment Instrument that allows the EPP to determine if candidates are well prepared to enter the profession in terms of lesson planning, student understanding, the learning environment, and professional responsibilities.

Additionally, DSU partnered with multiple K-12 districts and EPP graduates to conduct Case Studies to determine the effectiveness of its graduates in the field.
