Women Minority Business Development Center

Women Minority Business Development Center (WMBDC)

Vision

The WMBDC vision is to assist our female entrepreneurs to realize their hopes and dreams.

Mission

The WMBDC mission is to enhance the wealth and wellbeing of female minority entrepreneurs and small businesses that we serve by providing a holistic business and financial solution platform.

Welcome to the Women Minority Business Development Center (WMBDC).

Delta State University’s Women Minority Business Development Center will provide minority women of color professional business support assistance, financial counseling, mentorship and a host of technical assistance services.

The WMBDC was formed to primarily focus on the institutional systematic inequalities that directly affect minority women of color. The WMBDC will focus on programs and services that address the systematic barriers, such as capital, networks, and value chains that impede women of color from succeeding as minority business enterprises.

The WMBDC will provide technical business services to the following counties:  Bolivar, Coahoma, Humphreys, Issaquena, Leflore, Sharkey, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tunica, and Washington.

Our team is committed to providing business services that include data-driven business decisions, financial resources, and mentorship.

From our most recent asset map, we determined there is presently no Women Minority Business Development Center (WMBDC) located in our area.  After a thorough needs assessment, Delta State University, College of Business & Aviation (DSU COBA), plans to address the business and financial barriers that impede minority women of color from succeeding.

Here at the WMBDC, we are passionate about our minority women of color business owners in the Mississippi Delta and the opportunity to serve. We have an excellent and qualified professional team to deliver business services to you during these times.

We invite you to visit our center and allow us to the opportunity to fulfill your dream of business ownership, take your business to the next level, or just receive services to support your business. The WMBDC is the place for you!
