Artist Survival Skills Workshop: Establishing a Web Presence

DAA Artist Survival Skills Workshop Series Continues Different Time, Different Location – Friday, February 7, 2:30 pm Developing a professional, engaging presence online is an effective tool for promoting your work and essential for any artist who hopes to develop their career and make a living from their art. And it is a lot easier than it may seem. Learn more about the subject at Delta Arts Alliance’s third Artist Survival Skills Workshop, led by Nathaniel Hein, on Friday, February 7. The workshop will take place at Delta State University’s Wright Art Center and run from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. If possible, bring a laptop or tablet. Nathaniel Hein is Assistant Professor in Graphic Design at Delta State University. He has designed websites for various departments at Delta State University, including the Art Department, as well as for art organizations such as Number:Inc. The next workshop in the 2013-2014 Artist Survival Skills Workshop Series focuses on How to Get Grants, Residencies and Funding for Artists with Emily Tschiffely Saturday, March 8, 9:00-11:30 am, Ellis Theater Exhibition and funding opportunities abound for artists who can describe their artistic ideas, and pitch them effectively to the right audience. This workshop will introduce strategies for writing a successful proposal.
