Delta State to present second performance in the Piano Duo Recital Series

Guest artist, Dr. Jacob Clark, and Assistant Professor of Music, Dr. Jung-Won Shin of Delta State, will present a piano duo performance, as part of the Piano Duo Recital Series on Monday, Sept. 21, at 7:30 p.m., in the Recital Hall of the Bologna Performing Arts Center.

 
Clark received his musical education primarily in Texas, completing his BM, MM, and DMA in piano performance at the University of Texas at Austin. 
 
He has been awarded prizes in several competitions, mostly notably being named a prizewinner in the 2004 Sidney Wright Accompanying Competition, and the 2004 Janice K. Hodges Contemporary Piano Performance Award.
 
Currently, Clark is on the faculty of the Levine School of Music in Washington D.C., where he teaches both group and individual piano.
 
An active performer, he has presented recitals in venues such as the historic Church of the Epiphany in Washington D.C., the Mansion at Strathmore, the University of Texas at Austin, the University of Texas at San Antonio, Murray State University and the Capital City Christian Church where he performed his Washington concerto debut with the Washington Sinfonietta.
 
The program will include works for four hands in one or two pianos by Diabelli, Copland, Dvoák, Milhaud, and Schubert.
