Delta State Brings Home Three ADDYs

Laura Fleeman Walker, graphic designer for the Department of Communications and Marketing at Delta State, displays three ADDY® awards the department brought home from recent competition.

 

The American Advertising Federation of the Mississippi Delta held its 2009 “All-Star ADDY®” Awards program Friday, March 20 at the Greenville Golf and Country Club.  Delta State University brought home three of the coveted ADDY® awards which honors creative excellence in advertising.

 
Delta State University received two gold ADDY® awards. The first was presented in the category of Collateral Material for the Delta State University Admissions Campaign.  Credits went to Laura Fleeman Walker and Jessica McRee, Graphic Designers, Joshua L. Walker, writer and Michael Gann, Director of the Department Communications and Marketing at Delta State. The second gold award was for the John Grisham Event Campaign.  Credits went to Laura Fleeman Walker, Graphic Designer.
 
The department also received a silver ADDY® in the category of Elements of Advertising for Delta State University’s new logo.
 
“We are very pleased to bring home three ADDYs,” said Gann. “It is quite an accomplishment for such a small staff to bring home three awards, and a testament to the commitment and hard work of each staff member.”
 
“I am very proud of Michael and his staff for their work on these projects,” stated Dr. Michelle Roberts, Vice President for University Relations.  “I also want to thank the members of Delta State’s Marketing Advisory Committee for their input and guidance on Delta State’s new logo.  I am pleased to see our new logo being recognized.  It provides positive feedback that the University’s marketing initiative is headed in the right direction.”
