Delta State University’s Career Services Receives $1,500 from Enterprise Holdings Foundation at the Request of Local Enterprise Employees

The Office of Career Services at  Delta State University received a $1,500 check from Enterprise Holdings Foundation on Dec. 12, 2019, at the request of Enterprise employees to continue valued working partnerships and to benefit students of Delta State with their professional needs.

The Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Enterprise Holdings, which through its integrated network of independent regional subsidiaries and franchises, operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car, National Car Rental, and Alamo Rent A Car brands.

“We are grateful and very excited to receive this donation at the request of Enterprise employees,” said Wallace Johnson. “The main mission of the Office of Career Services is to assist DSU students and alumni with presenting themselves as hirable and viable candidates for employment. This donation will help us purchase professional pieces needed to take students from the classroom to the boardroom. This $1,500 grant from the Enterprise Holdings Foundation will allow us to help our students look and feel like a candidate for immediate hire. Whether it is a jump drive to store one’s professional documents on, a pen and padfolio to carry extra resumes in and write down questions during an interview, or the purchase of blazers and neckties for the Okra Suits Career Closet, this donation will help us assist DSU students in looking and feeling poised and professional.”
