Delta State University ranks the ninth most affordable online school in the country, according to Study.com.

“Designed primarily for working professionals, Delta State University’s programs are tailored to help students get career-advancing degrees on their terms,” writes the e-learning platform based in Mountain View, Calif. “Most of the programs here are at the graduate level, offering programs like a Master of Arts in Teaching, a Master of Science in Nursing, a Doctor of Nursing Practice, and several others. The Cleveland, Mississippi, public university also manages to keep tuition affordable with average undergraduate and graduate student tuition and fees that run just around $3,700 a semester.”

Assessment factors include tuition, financial aid, admittance rates, educational support and resources, retention rates, graduation rates, student-faculty ratio, career resources, and job placement. Fifty institutions made the list of Most Affordable Online Schools out of hundreds evaluated, and more than 40 million visitors per month use Study.com “to research potential schools, degrees, and careers,” state press materials.

In an email to Delta State media, Study.com further praised Delta State’s “excellent online offerings.”

“Once again DSU demonstrates the very definition of value: a combination of a high quality degree at a comparatively low price,” said Charles McAdams, provost and vice president for academic affairs at Delta State. “I am pleased to see this recognition for the work we do with students in Mississippi and the region.”

Delta State regularly rates high in affordability, per any number of evaluators.
