Sheila MillicanThe Delta State University Staff Council recently honored Sheila Millican, senior secretary/test center supervisor for the Commercial Aviation Department, as the September 2016 Employee of the Month.
Millican, a Cleveland native, has been working department for 23 years.
“I would like to express my thanks to the Delta State University Staff Council for selecting me as Employee of the Month,” said Millican.
She is married to Mitch Millican, and they have three daughters: Monica Pence, Madison (Martin) Harris and Holly Claire Millican. She enjoys spending time with her husband and riding motorcycles.
Each Employee of the Month winner receives a plaque, monetary award, an engraved insulated coffee mug, a free parking decal courtesy of the Campus Police Department, a box of treats from The Sweetery, a parking spot of their choice, marquee announcement and web site recognition.

Delta State’s Staff Council serves as a liaison between the administration and the staff to provide a formal process for staff to discuss issues involving university policies and procedures and to forward ideas, recommendations and opinions to the president.
