The Statesmen faced off against Chowan University on Sept. 9, marking the first game on the brand new turf at Parker Field-McCool Stadium.
Delta State set the tone early, taking their opening drive 64 yards in just seven plays — and the Statesmen never looked back from there. DSU moved to 2-0 after beating Chowan 42-13.
