font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"font-size: 18pt;\">2026 Region III <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Lower<\/span> Fair Date:\u00a0 Tuesday, March 24, 2026<\/span><br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Once a school has completed their local school fair, \u00a0they must complete the Student Registration form and all required project forms for any student that will be participating in the Region III Lower Science Fair.\u00a0 If a school has low participation in the Science Fair, they are allowed to for-go a school or school district fair and send all participants to the Regional Fair, with the permission of their Administration.\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"color: #000000; font-size: 12pt;\">Each school has the option to bring 1st &#8211; 6th place in each grade (1st &#8211; 6th) and each of the 13 science categories.\u00a0 That means that there is the potential to bring 78 students <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">per grade<\/span> for your school, if approval is granted by your administration.\u00a0\u00a0The lower fair is divided into two classes: Class 1 (1st &#8211; 3rd grades) and Class 2 (4th &#8211; 6th grades).\u00a0 Each participant will be judged in person against their peers in their class and category.\u00a0 Follow the steps below to register your school and lower fair students for the Region III Fair.<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong><span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #008000;\">Participant Fees<\/span><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Each participant project submission will cost <strong><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">$30.00 per student<\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 <span style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Teams ARE NOT allowed for 1st-6th grades<\/strong>.<\/span>\u00a0 Fees should be turned in by the key teacher, school, or school district for all projects participate from their school.<\/p>\n<p>The <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><strong>$30 per participant<\/strong><\/span> must be paid on the <strong>due date of project registration for the Upper and Lower Fairs<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0 Payments may be mailed at Continuing Education, ATTN: Region III Science Fair, 239 Kent Wyatt Hall, Cleveland, MS 38733 OR dropped off at our office location at 239 Kent Wyatt Hall.\u00a0\u00a0 If the fee is being paid by the district, you may email the paperwork with the PO# to us at sciencefair@deltastate.edu by the paperwork deadline.\u00a0\u00a0 You, as the key teacher, are responsible for making sure the district receives the invoice for payment and that the check is cut and mailed to our office.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Project registration is not completed until participation fee of $30.00 per participant is received.<\/span><\/strong><\/span>[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: 14pt; color: #008000;\"><strong>Project Type<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The lower fair participants are only allowed to use a trifold board for their science fair project. The board must be 32&#8243; to 48&#8243; wide and 28&#8243; to 72&#8243; in height.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Required Forms for Lower (1st-6th Grade) Student Registration:<br \/>\n<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The required forms for Lower (1st -6th Grade) Fair are:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Typed Abstract saved as Word or PDF document (upload to the Student Registration Form)<\/li>\n<li>Electronic Student Registration Form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text]<span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\">STEP 1: School Registration<\/span> <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(Due November 10, 2025)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Each school must submit a School Registration form to the Region III Office no later than November 10, 2025 to secure your schools attendance at the Lower or Upper Region III Fairs.\u00a0\u00a0 The information page, SRC Committee, and IRB Committee pages must be completed properly in order for Region III to accept the form.\u00a0 School Registration forms must be submitted <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">electronically<\/span> through the link below.[\/vc_column_text][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][nectar_btn size=&#8221;small&#8221; button_style=&#8221;regular&#8221; button_color_2=&#8221;Accent-Color&#8221; icon_family=&#8221;default_arrow&#8221; text=&#8221;School Registration Form&#8221; url=&#8221;https:\/\/www.deltastate.edu\/sciencefair\/school-registration-form-for-region-iii-msef\/&#8221;][divider line_type=&#8221;No Line&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\">Step 2:\u00a0 Abstract <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">(due with Student Registration Form on Friday, February 20, 2026)<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The student abstract should be <strong>typed in a word document and uploaded<\/strong> to the Student Registration Form, below, before submitting.
