SUMMARY:Planetary Alignment 101: This week's rare 'planet parade' + Guided Stargazing
DESCRIPTION:A parade of planets will appear in our early evening sky on Friday February 28. Learn how to view the rare alignment of 7 of our solar system planets in our *FREE* live show ‘Planetary Alignment 101’ on Thursday February 27 at 6:30PM and 7:30PM. We’ll discuss how planets align\, how you can view it yourself on the following night\, and do some guided naked-eye stargazing outside (as long as it isn’t cloudy!). \nHow rare is this 7 planet (Mercury\, Venus\, Mars\, Jupiter\,  Saturn\, Uranus\, Neptune) alignment?  We’ll have to wait about 15 years for the next one. The  weather should be good for our location February 27 and February 28\, so don’t miss out on this opportunity! \nSeating is on a first-come\, first-served basis. Doors will open 15 minutes before showtime. The planetarium portion of the night will last ~30 minutes\, followed by guided naked-eye stargazing. Stargazing will take place first in the parking lot next to the planetarium. Then we will walk to the less light-polluted quad in front of the student union to find more constellations and stars.
