SUMMARY:CEU Teacher's Workshop: Eclipse and Sun Science
DESCRIPTION:In preparation for the April 8 solar eclipse\, DSU continuing education\, in partnership with the Wiley Planetarium\, will host ‘Eclipse and Sun Science Teacher’s Workshop’ for K-8 teachers. \nDate/Time:  Friday March 22\, 9AM-3PM OR Saturday March 23\, 9AM-3PM (indicate your preference when registering) \nCost: $25  – Includes 0.5 CEU Credits \nThe workshop will include instructions and hands-on activities\, such as: \n\nBuilding solar eclipse models\nExploration of magnetism and  mathematics related to the Sun and eclipses\nIdeas for STEM activities related to Sun and eclipses\nHow to reproduce these experiences with your students\n\nThe first 10 teachers who register will  receive a free pack of 30 eclipse glasses for safe solar eclipse viewing with their students. All registered  teachers are eligible for discounted tickets  for their  class at a future Wiley Planetarium show. \nPre-registration is required.
