SUMMARY:Annual Moon Festival
DESCRIPTION:Join us for Delta State’s annual Moon Festival on Monday September 29\, held at Wiley Planetarium! This will be a FREE multi-cultural and activity-filled event to celebrate the Full Moon that falls closest to the autumn equinox. Activities include: a 30-minute live lunar-themed planetarium show\, and seasonal confections and crafts often accompanying autumn moon celebrations in China\, Korea\, Japan\, and Vietnam. \nPlanetarium shows will be held at 6:30PM and 7:15PM. Concurrently\, lunar-themed activities will take place in classrooms Walters 121 and 122 right next to the planetarium. \nThis event is sponsored by Wiley Planetarium\, the Mississippi Delta Chinese Heritage Museum\, and Delta State University’s Office of Student Affairs.
