The event&rsquo;sculminating concert will be on Saturday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. inside the Bologna Performing Arts Center on campus.&nbsp;<br \/>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div>This year&rsquo;s Honor Band is comprised of 100 of the most talented students in Mississippi representing more than 30 of the state&rsquo;s high schools.&nbsp;These students earned their place in the ensemble through auditions that took place during the fall 2008 semester.<\/div>\n<div>The clinic begins with check-in on Thursday beginning at 4 p.m. in Zeigel Hall.&nbsp;The students will have their first rehearsal that evening followed by a choice of swimming, use of Wyatt gymnasium or watching a movie.&nbsp; <\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>On Friday, the students will continue rehearsing in preparation for the concert on Saturday. <\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>This year&rsquo;s guest clinician will be Dr. William Clark, director of bands emeritus at the University of New Mexico and former director of bands at Delta State University.&nbsp; <\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The exciting programwill feature <span>s<\/span>elections chosenby Clark from the following<span>:<\/span> &ldquo;Morning, Noon and Night in Vienna,&rdquo; by Franz von Suppe, arranged by Robert E. Foster, &ldquo;Polka and Fugue,&rdquo; by Jaromir Weinberger, arranged by Glenn Bainum, &ldquo;First Suite for Band,&rdquo;by Alfred Reed, &ldquo;Emblem of Unity,&rdquo;a march by J.J. Richards and &ldquo;Ave Maria,&rdquo;by Frank Ticheli.&nbsp; <\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>The concert is free and open to the public.
