CLEVELAND, Miss. \u2014<\/strong> Delta State University librarians Michael Mounce, Laurie Muffley, and Mike Emerson recently garnered acclaim for their scholarly article titled “Gift to the Delta, Past and Present: U.S. Government Documents and Resources at the Delta State University Library.” This insightful piece was peer-reviewed and selected for publication in the esteemed DttP: Documents to the People journal, the official publication of the Government Documents Round Table (GODORT) of the American Library Association (ALA).<\/p>\n

The abstract of their publication delves into the significance of DSU’s Roberts-LaForge Library as a selective depository library, receiving approximately 40 percent of tangible United States government documents issued by the U.S. Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). Moreover, the library’s distinction as the sole U.S. government documents depository library in the Delta region of Mississippi underscores its indispensable role in providing access to crucial government resources.<\/p>\n

“We are immensely proud of the recognition bestowed upon our library and librarians for their dedication to preserving and disseminating government documents,” remarked Fawn Ussery, Director of Library Services at Delta State University.<\/p>\n
