CLEVELAND, Miss.\u2014Services honoring Delta State University alumna and basketball legend Lusia \u201cLucy\u201d Mae Harris Stewart<\/a> \u201877, \u201984, \u201914 will be held at Delta State on Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022.<\/p>\n

Harris passed away Wednesday, Jan. 18.\u00a0 She was 66.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Delta State family mourns the passing of Dr. Lucy Harris Stewart, the iconic basketball star who led the Lady Statesmen to three national championships,\u201d said Delta State President William N. LaForge. \u201cWe extend our sincerest condolences to her family and friends.\u201d<\/p>\n
