Delta State\u2019s Office of Student Life has organized a campus-wide donation drive to collect items to benefit students of Xavier University of Louisiana. Requested items include bottled water, non-perishable foods, toiletries and monetary donations. All Delta State students, faculty and staff are encouraged to participate.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur heart and thoughts go out to the Xavier students affected by Hurricane Ida.\u00a0 This collaboration was made possible by DSU employees, students and alumni who wanted to do more to ensure the needs of these students were met by providing necessary items for students in the New Orleans, La. area,\u201d said DSU Director of Student Life Rochelle Oswley.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Office of Student Life supports this endeavor wholeheartedly and appreciates our DSU family and the community in joining together to improve the lives of these students affected the most,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
Donations will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 15-29 in the Office of Student Life, located in Suite 200 of the H.L. Nowell Student Union.<\/p>\n
