Margaret Hollifield, who serves as a counselor at Brandon Elementary School, was among 20 students across the state to receive the $1,000 scholarship from MPE, which is awarded to members who wish to pursue graduate-level studies at a college or university in Mississippi.<\/p>\n

A resident of Pearl, Miss., Hollifield received her Master of Education degree from Delta State and is currently pursuing an Educational Specialist degree in Administration and Supervision at DSU.<\/p>\n

She has been a member of MPE since 2011.<\/p>\n

Founded in 1979, the Mississippi Professional Educators is Mississippi\u2019s largest and premier organization for professional educators, serving approximately 13,500 teachers, administrators and support personnel.<\/p>\n

MPE serves members in pre-K through graduate education in both public and private institutions with the purpose of promoting better education for the children of Mississippi.<\/p>\n
